Winter Blog Hop - Boxes for Packaging
11/18/2021
Do you do Christmas Packaging?
Welcome to the Winter Holiday Blog Hop.
We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all around that world that love to share what we do. For this Blog Hop we are celebrating one of the dozens and dozens of holidays taking place between now and 2022 that are NOT Christmas! Even though my project could be used for Christmas, it is to celebrate Boxing Day on December 26th. It is a decorated Box.
What is Boxing Day? Boxing Day is a holiday celebrated the day after Christmas, December 26th. It originated as a holiday to give gifts to the poor, but today Boxing Day is primarily known as a shopping holiday. It originated in the United Kingdom and is celebrated in a number of countries that previously formed part of the British Empire. In Canada, we still celebrate Boxing Day. In history, December 26, gave the wealthy a chance to repay their servants and tradespeople with paid time off and small gift boxes filled with trinkets or coins as a show of appreciation for their service during the holidays and throughout the year. Servants and tradespeople also prepared gift boxes for their own families, too. For my family, it is a day of visiting.
I had decorated a box, and this can be used for Christmas or even Boxing Day. Here it is and I will make sure that I include a supply list below.
These Scalloped boxes are so versatile. I will start using them more.
I did a video to show how to put the boxes together and how I decorated them.
