Another way to use those Stampin Write Markers®
10/31/2019
Before I forget, Happy Halloween. How many kids do you get stopping by your house? I only get about 6. I made some treats for some small people but forgot to take pictures of them before I delivered them.
Again, here we are on Thursday and we are doing Tips and Techniques. Colouring is our technique. I really want everyone to use the Stampin' Write Marker that have they just been hanging out in your drawers?. I know mine have. This is a really fun technique. Warning: It an be addicting, but also messy. So grab lots of paper towels and lets get messy.
I'm not sure there is even a name for this technique, but let's call it Blocking Backgrounds with Markers. In a post down the road, I can show something else that is similar to this.
I think the best thing to do it figure out what colors that you want to use together. It also depends on what stamp set that you are going to use.
For the card that I made, I used crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Balmy Blue and Night of Navy. I wanted to use the Sailing Home Stamp Set I Kinda wanted to give a sunset look . I'm not sure that I got that look with this example but....here is the Card.
Why not watch my video below and see how the background was done. Don't forget to subscribe to my You Tube Channel? I think I did some interesting colour combinations in this video. I will show cards made with them in the near future.
The supply list for this Sailing Home Card is:
Please be sure to use the current Host Code above to receive a free gift from me. When you place a $60 order (before shipping and taxes) using the Host Code, I'll send you a tutorial to make cards using the Perfectly Plaid Bundle.
Remember to get stamping and Creating. It is good for the soul.
