Well I think I need to take a time management course. I can't seem to manage my time to craft, blog, prepare for classes and work. I went to Montreal to visit Chris, my son, and thought that I could get him to teach me how to video some things. Shouldn't have asked him because I got put into a video done by him. He has a contract to do a bunch of Downloads for cell phones. Guess what.....the video was me using my GPS on my cell phone and falling off a cliff up on Mount Royal. Due to the publication regulations, I can't show it here, but I have to tell you that my dummy was pretty realistic landing on the ground way below a cliff. It was also pretty funny watching the people's reaction to us carrying this look-a-like dummy up the Mountain. We even took it into Tim Hortons with us.
Montreal was great, but the highlight of the trip was the Thanksgiving Dinner. There were 16 there and it was a Pot Luck dinner. I have never had such a fantastic meal. Anyone that knows me, knows that I like to do place cards for family meals and other dinner get togethers. Actually, I got started with Stampin Up by doing place cards for my Dad's 75th Birthday. I look back to those invitations and place cards and chuckle and see how far I have come. They were pretty basic, but it was a start. Here is the one that I did for the Dinner this year. I used one of my favorite Stamp Sets this year, Autumn Splendor, and the new Champagne Shimmer Paint. I made my own Designer Paper by making a stencil out of my Leaves Die Cut and sponging it onto the Very Vanilla Paper. I sponged most of the project with Soft Suede to give it a rustic look. I filled them with sweet stuff. The guests really liked them. We made them put their names on a tag and then we mixed everyone up so that we met different people.
This weekend, I held one Christmas Card class that was in a classroom setting. They made 4 different cards and a box to take them away in. Next weekend, I am doing another Card event, but it is like a Make and Take and they will leave with 10 cards and 5 different designs. I will post them at a later date. Take care and Happy Stamping. Do you realize that it is only 54 days until Christmas? Diane
